Baking Entry:

This is a bread recipe that my Dad likes to make. He is all about making yummy loafs. Cinnamon bread, Banana bread, and Chocolate bread are some of his go to bread to make. This bread has always been a favorite of mine, so I knew I had to learn how to make it myself on this baking journey.

I had always thought that bread was very challenging to make, but it is not. This was actually a very simple recipe! I personally like to have a little glaze or frosting on my bread, so maybe someday I will learn to make a yummy cinnamon glaze to go on top of this delicious bread. The only challenging part of this for me was learning how long to bake the bread for. I was not given a specific amount of time really, so I just had to wing it! My bread ended up cooking for 50 minutes in the oven and it turned out great!

From this I learned that if you are unsure about how long to bake you dessert for, start baking at a lower time. If a recipe calls for 20-25 minutes, start at 20 minutes and if it is not done, just keep letting it bake for a little longer. You can always have a dessert bake for longer, but if it is overcooked, then you are left with a burnt dessert!
